200 years of winery Poletti
At the top of Opatija's famous Keight Hilton hotel with a view that encompasses the entire Kvarner region, history and the future are intertwined in a glass of wine. Winery Poletti from Markovac near Visnjan, one of Istria's longest-lived wine families, gathered friends, sommelierie, media and wine lovers to mark even 200 years of wine tradition, but also presented New visual identity that brings their rich story to the future.
From small grape berries to wine
With great love and passion, vineyards were preserved and cultivated on the Poletti family estate, which will be transformed into a wine of incredible taste and aroma.
The process of growing and producing wine seems extremely easy at first glance, but behind every raisin there is a lot of effort, work and time invested to make the final products that we all love so much better and better.
With the arrival of autumn and the month of September, family efforts have been made to harvest all the grapes that are then prepared for the fermentation process. Alcoholic fermentation, or as it is known among the people, must fermentation, is the stage in the production of wine that most affects the quality of the final product and should therefore be under the absolute control of professional winemakers.
In the Poletti cellars, every detail of the fermentation process is currently monitored so that the wine has the best possible aroma, not only according to the standards of the winery, but also the wine tasters who will indulge in eno-gastronomic pleasure upon arrival at the estate or in the Casa Manzolin restaurant where the Poletti wines are served.

On the family farm there are also plantations of Chardonnay, wines that ripen every year and give wine with a slightly higher percentage of alcohol. The wine has pleasant acidity and minerality, which makes it a drinkable and powerful choice for gourmet enjoyment.

Wine has always been an indispensable part and tradition of the Poletti family, which with its work and love produces top quality wines of various varieties that delight every wine lover. The family estate also produces Rossella, an intriguing premium wine of pink color and unique characteristics.
It is a dry wine of the autochthonous Istrian variety that first delights with its scent, which makes a combination of roses, strawberries and raspberries, and then with its aroma and a wide range of flavors characteristic of Muscat wine. Although it has a slightly higher percentage of alcohol, this premium endemic wine still retains its freshness and drinkability perfect for summer days.
In combination with real gastronomic specialties such as shrimp, salmon, tuna steak, but also various desserts, Rossella shows its true power of taste and aroma that leaves no one indifferent.

The white wines are perfect for the hot summer days that come to us; they are lighter and more suited to the heat than other types of wine.

Classica and Malvasia are recommended, and these wines will be perfect with a gastronomic recommendation – they will go perfectly with a variety of dishes.
